This track is my piano interpretation of the most famous Carlos Gardel’s tango “Por una Cabeza”.
Carlos Gardel is a legend of the first half of 20th century music in the Latin America. His career coincided with the development of Argentine cultural icon – the tango. “Por una Cabeza” was written by him in 1935, the year he died in airplane crash at the Medellin airfield in Colombia.
Calmness and passion, freedom and elegance are heard in this wonderful tango which is featured in famous tango scene in Martin Brest’s “Scent of a Woman” (1992), in the opening scene of Steven Spielbergs “Schindler’s List” (1993), and in James Cameron’s “True Lies” (1994).
