The Porsche 911 is a sports car manufactured by the German Porsche since 1964. The first generation was presented at the Frankfurt Motor Show, on September 12, 1963, intended as the replacement for the Porsche 356. The prototype was called « Porsche 901 », but a lawsuit from Peugeot led to the trade name being changed to 911.

Through these years, 911 has gone through several regenerations that have changed a lot. In any case, many of the features of the original model are preserved, such as its “all back” configuration (rear engine and rear-wheel drive), its fastback coupe body, the six-cylinder boxer engine and an interior with 2 + 2 seater configuration .
There are eight generations of 911, which were put up for sale in 1964, 1974, 1988, 1993, 1998, 2004, 2011 and 2018, and which are distinguished by their project code: 901, 930, 964, 993, 996 , 997, 991 and 992. In May 2017, unit number one million of 911 was produced.
